Empathy is stirred by the Holy Spirit and the human will might move us to action.

Darkness threatens us from every side. Will.you be the light?

The complete lack of empathy is very rare, a mental health illness, but how our brains process empathy ranges from being not so empathetic to full-bore uncontrollable heart-wrenching empathy.

Our actions and encounters count now and forever.

America is stuck in the muck of morality morass.

We are not who we once were. What do we do with that? Is letting it go possible?

Unforgivenss is against the mercy of God's glorious love for the human being.

How might one take a leap of faith, when we can’t see past the darkness between us and the other side?

Faith without works is not the path of life; the route that moves us towards the light.

Doubt, dryness, disillusionment, depression, and despair are as real as our reluctance to admit these sorts of spiritual problems that beset us.

In the intertwined disciplines of theology and anthropology, humanism is enriched in the power of the divine.

Love begets love and in the practice of love, in word and deed, humanity benefits by the common good. Humanism that incorporates spirituality recognizes the necessity of love (that is charity) for the betterment of the individual and the betterment of the other.

The question of the game: who’s to blame? Surely, someone is guilty.

What we do matters. What we say matters. Who we are matters. Receiving, matters. Giving, matters. Every person has the potential for greatness.

Communication with God is easy, I tell you what, easier than texting on a flip phone; but, it takes intense listening. If God is calling you, pickup I say. Look, see, listen, hear. Feel. HOPE. Answer God’s call.

Our evangelization efforts should always uphold the dignity of every person, regardless of their circumstances. Think of the enormity of our witness! This is true charity. Dignity beyond every circumstance…color me humble.

Considering a list of virtues, forgiveness isn’t listed. That being said, several virtues are employed to varying degrees to grant forgiveness: courage, wisdom, justice, patience, and self-control. Virtue aids forgiveness.

Forgiving supports humanism. Equally humanistic is the stubbornness that fosters unforgiveness. Holiness begets mercy.

When we love with reckless abandon, we are vulnerable to love lost. Each tear they leave behind is a tribute to great love. Every memory we share in their wake is a treasure to those who know and remember it.

Value is what something is worth, in terms of how desirable, how useful, or how important to fulfilling your needs. Traditional cultural indications of value are not consistent with the values held sacred in spirituality.
